DelaxCom LLC (“DelaxCom”, “we”, “us”) provides IT and telecommunications consulting. This policy explains what we collect when you use delaxcom.com or contact us, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.
We are a small business. We do not sell your information, and we do not buy it.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you complete a form on this site, we collect your name, email address, and — if you provide them — your phone number, company or agency, and whatever you write in the message field.
If you submit a request through our Government Contracting page, we also collect any solicitation number, NAICS code, response deadline, and documents you attach.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard technical data for every visit: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring site. This is used to keep the site working and secure. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Conversations with our site assistant
Our AI assistant sends your messages to a third-party AI provider to generate a reply. Do not enter confidential, proprietary, or sensitive personal information into the chat. Depending on the provider and service tier in use, conversations may be retained by that provider and may be used to improve their models. For anything confidential, call us on 515-298-7392 instead.
Why we collect it
- To answer your enquiry and prepare quotes, proposals, or responses to solicitations
- To deliver services you have engaged us for
- To meet legal, tax, and government contracting obligations
- To keep the site secure and functioning
- To send you our newsletter, if you have opted in
Our newsletter
We are planning a newsletter covering practical guidance on IT and telecommunications — fiber contracts, licensing, security, and related topics.
We will only add you to it if you affirmatively opt in. Submitting a contact form does not subscribe you. Where an opt-in checkbox appears, it will not be pre-ticked, and leaving it unticked will never prevent us from answering your enquiry.
If you do subscribe, we will send occasional practical guidance and news about our services. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and we act on unsubscribe requests promptly. We do not share, rent, or sell our mailing list.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers who help us operate, and only as needed:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Website hosting |
| Supabase | Database and file storage for form submissions |
| AI provider | Powering the site assistant |
| Email provider | Delivering our newsletter, once launched |
We may also disclose information where required by law, to establish or defend legal claims, or to a buyer in connection with a sale or merger of the business.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are retained for up to three years so we can maintain continuity with prospective clients. Client records are kept for the duration of the engagement plus seven years, to satisfy tax and government contracting requirements. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Uploaded solicitation documents are retained for three years, or longer where a contract requires it.
You may ask us to delete your information sooner — see below.
Security
Data is stored with reputable providers using encryption in transit and at rest. Documents submitted through our Government Contracting page are stored in a private bucket that is not publicly accessible.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
Your choices
Regardless of where you live, you may ask us to:
- Access the information we hold about you
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Delete your information, subject to legal retention obligations
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time
Email contact@delaxcom.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
If you are in California, the EU, or the UK, you may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, or UK GDPR respectively — including the right to data portability and to object to certain processing. Contact us and we will honour them.
Children
This site is intended for businesses and government agencies. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We will update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be notified by email to newsletter subscribers.
